The other operators, while improving, have not yet matched Dialog's performance in these areas.

The regulatory environment has played a crucial role in the development of Sri Lanka's mobile network. The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has been instrumental in setting policies and standards that promote competition and innovation in the sector. The commission has also been proactive in preparing for the rollout of 5G technology, with all four operators conducting trials and strengthening their 4G networks in anticipation of the transition to 5G services.
