Globe Philippines uses LTE Band 3 (1800 MHz) as one of its initial LTE frequencies. This band was deployed to provide 4G LTE services, and it has been widely used for LTE deployments globally, including in the Philippines. The band operates on the frequency range of 1850 – 1910 MHz for the uplink and 1930 – 1990 MHz for the downlink, with a bandwidth of 60 MHz.

B7 (2600 MHz) LTE

Globe Philippines uses LTE Band 7 (2600 MHz) for its LTE network. This band is deployed nationwide and supports LTE/LTE-A protocols. The deployment of this band began in 2020, when it was refarmed from 3G spectrum.

B41 (TD 2500 MHz) LTE

Globe Philippines uses LTE Band 41, which operates on the 2500 MHz frequency band. This band is defined for use as a TDD (Time Division Duplex) carrier, with a frequency range of 2496 to 2690 MHz and a bandwidth of 194 MHz.

B28 (700 MHz APT) LTE

N78 (3500 MHz) 5G NR

Globe Philippines uses the 5G NR frequency band n78, which operates in the 3500 MHz range. This band is commonly referred to as the 3.5 GHz band or C-band. It is designated for Time Division Duplexing (TDD) and is widely used for 5G deployments due to its relatively common availability and potential for high capacity throughput. The n78 band spans from 3300 MHz to 3800 MHz, supporting channel bandwidths ranging from 10 MHz to 100 MHz. Advanced technologies like massive MIMO, beam-forming, and beam-tracking help mitigate the limited range and building penetration issues associated with higher frequencies. This band is particularly popular for its ability to support large channel widths, making it suitable for delivering high-capacity 5G services. Globe initially and primarily used the n78 band until deployments of n41 picked up pace and surpassed it in terms of number of sites and coverage.
