South Korea's mobile network has undergone significant development over the years. The adoption of 5G has been rapid, with a 19.3% increase in usage rate compared to the previous year, reflecting South Korea's strong commitment to technological innovation. The Ministry of Science and ICT, along with major mobile carriers SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+, have collaborated to make 5G services accessible in rural areas, marking a pivotal moment in telecommunications advancement. Additionally, the three Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and the government have implemented National Roaming among 5G networks, aiming to rapidly expand coverage and ensure high-speed Internet access even in remote areas.
