Ncell is the first private mobile service provider in Nepal, established in 2004 and operating services since 2005. It is now a 100 percent Nepali-origin, owned company following the acquisition of its shares by Spectrlite UK Limited in December 2023. Ncell has been recognized for its high-speed mobile network, winning the Speedtest Awards for mobile network speed in Nepal during Q1-Q2 2022 with a Speed Score of 17.16. The company has also been upgrading its 4G connectivity in various districts of Lumbini and Bagmati provinces to enhance network performance.
Ncell offers a range of services, including international roaming, value-added services (VAS), and various prepaid and postpaid plans. The company has a strong commitment to digital transformation and has partnered with e& international to enhance digital services, particularly in rural and remote areas, focusing on customer value management, network optimization, and cost-effective solutions. Ncell is one of the largest taxpayers in Nepal, contributing over Rs. 300 billion in taxes and fees since its inception, and has also contributed significantly to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
