The Cayman Islands have a well-developed mobile network, with two primary service providers: FLOW and Digicel. Both companies offer a range of services, including prepaid and postpaid plans, voice calls, text messaging, and data allowances. The islands have a high fixed-line teledensity and a liberalized telecom market, which has led to significant advancements in mobile technology.

The history of mobile network development in the Cayman Islands began with the introduction of cellphones in the early 1980s. Since then, the country has seen major technological advancements, including the introduction of 4G LTE technology. Recently, FLOW launched 5G services, making the Cayman Islands the first in the Caribbean to experience this technology. This launch has positioned the islands as a global leader in telecommunications, offering faster internet speeds and improved connectivity.

The current network includes 44 mobile sites with 98% LTE coverage, extending 10 miles offshore. FLOW has also introduced a new bundle called "Flow Mania," which includes 5G service, unlimited mobile data and minutes, and a resilient 'Wi-Fi-Back-up' system to ensure customers stay connected during internet or power outages. This bundle is designed to provide an all-in-one value proposition, making it simpler for customers to manage their services.

Overall, the Cayman Islands' mobile network has evolved significantly over the years, with a focus on improving connectivity and providing innovative solutions to both businesses and residents.
