    • On September 22, 2020, IT&E acquired iConnect's telecommunications assets, including its wireless network and customer base.
    • The acquisition was completed by the end of the year, with all iConnect cellular customers transitioning to IT&E services.
  3. Services and Plans:

    • After the acquisition, iConnect customers continued to enjoy their existing services and offerings, with no additional cost for enhanced services and expanded wireless broadband experience.
    • IT&E introduced new postpaid plans with increased data and value, including unlimited local talk, text, and social media access, as well as mobile hotspot data.
  4. Technologies and Capabilities:

    • iConnect supported technologies like iDEN (Instant Connect Push-To-Talk), GSM/GPRS 1900 MHz, UMTS/HSPA+ 1900 MHz (band 2), and LTE 700 MHz (band 12).
  5. Customer Transition:

    • During the transition period, iConnect continued to operate its network and retail locations, ensuring uninterrupted service for iDEN customers.
    • Subscribers’ phone numbers remained the same, and any necessary SIM card replacements were advised.

Overall, iConnect Guam provided a range of mobile services and technologies before its assets were acquired by IT&E, which has since integrated these services into its own offerings.

iConnect Guam uses the GSM 1900 MHz (PCS) frequency band. This band operates in the 1,850–1,910 MHz range for the uplink (mobile to base) and the 1,930–1,990 MHz range for the downlink (base to mobile).


UMTS
