Virgin Mobile in the United Kingdom is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that operates on the networks of other providers. Historically, it has used the EE network since its inception in 1999, but in 2021, it transitioned to the Vodafone network. However, in 2022, Virgin Mobile announced that it would be moving its network operations to O2, following the merger of Virgin Media with O2 in June 2021. This transition was completed by the end of 2023, with all Virgin Mobile customers now being served by O2.

Virgin Mobile offers a range of pay monthly deals with flexible data plans, including the option to increase or decrease data allowances monthly and roll over unused data. The service includes free roaming in 43 destinations and allows tethering up to the chosen data allowance. Customers can also benefit from various promotions and services, such as cashback for referrals and trade-in options for their old handsets.

The network coverage is extensive, with O2 providing 4G coverage to 99% of the population and 5G coverage in over 750 towns and cities. Customers can check their coverage using Virgin Media's mobile coverage checker.
